Founder Alyviah Martin savored her first cup of coffee at age eight, and was immediately drawn to the aroma, taste, and warm, cozy feelings of mug-in-hand mornings. Inheriting her love of coffee from her mom, her tastes grew from classic (coffee with cream) to curious, exploring every innovative blend coffee shops had to offer. While living in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she tried her first miel oatmilk latte, which ultimately became our namesake. Meaning honey in Spanish and French, the miel latte is a blend of honey and cinnamon, and now holds a permanent place on our menu. Miel Coffee Co. is a gourmet coffee catering and mobile espresso cart in Washington, DC. Our specialty coffee cart and pop-up espresso bar is available for corporate events, private celebrations, and brand openings.
